In the small town of Mosswood, there is a whispering rumor that has taken over the townsfolk like a disease. A disease that can only be cured by death – or so it seems. The town is plagued by an outbreak of zombies, and no one knows how to stop them.
The people of Mosswood are scared, and they have every right to be. They are surrounded by the undead, and their numbers are growing rapidly. The town’s sheriff, Tom (played by Charlie Sheen), is doing his best to keep order in the chaos that has descended upon his once peaceful town.
Tom’s love interest, Sarah (played by Emma Stone), is a nurse who tries her best to save the infected but finds herself fighting a losing battle. Together with Tom and other survivors they come across on their journey – Bill (played by Bruce Willis), Kate (played by Natalie Portman), and Alex (played by Robert Downey Jr.)- they attempt to flee the infected area.
The group journeys through abandoned buildings and streets littered with zombies as they try to escape the horror that has become their world.
